Are you passionate about clinical quality, safety, and risk management in home and community care? We are seeking a motivated professional to support our organisation’s clinical quality and Health & Safety systems. 

As the Clinical Quality  Coordinator, you will coordinate quality assurance, continuous improvement, and workplace health and safety activities across home and community services. The role focuses on alignment with Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standards, customary contractual requirements, and NZ Health & Safety legislation.

About the role 
This is a collaborative role working closely with clinical lead, operations,  digital, and management teams. You will support safe practice, quality systems, and continuous improvement, helping teams understand and apply standards in their daily work. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Coordinating clinical quality assurance and Health & Safety activities across the business 
• Supporting internal and external audits, including review of findings, reporting, and tracking corrective actions 
• Reviewing incidents, near misses, feedback, and risk data across clinical and workplace H&S domains 
• Supporting investigations and contributing to root cause analysis and improvement planning 
• Assisting with policy reviews, procedure updates, and audit preparation 
• Supporting compliance with Ngā Paerewa, contractual obligations, and relevant Health & Safety legislation 
• Contributing to quality, risk, and Health & Safety governance reporting 
• Working with teams to embed safe, consistent, and person‑centred practice 

 
About you 
Essential

• NZ‑registered health professional with a current APC (e.g. nursing or allied health) 
• Experience or strong interest in clinical quality, patient safety, and Health & Safety 
• Understanding of Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standards 
• Working knowledge of NZ Health & Safety legislation and frameworks 
• Ability to review data, identify risks and trends, and support improvement actions 
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills

Desirable 

• Experience in home care, community health, or disability services 
• Exposure to audits, incident management, or quality and H&S systems 
• Postgraduate education (or working towards) in quality, safety, healthcare .
