The Organisation: 
This organisation is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to come on board and help the team to catch up on a back-log of work and perform their best. This organisation is dedicated to results, quality and is needing someone who can hit the ground running 
 
The Role: 
This company is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their finance team. You will be responsible for updating maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting processes and ensuring that month end processes are up-kept to a high standard Responsibilities of the role include: 

• Managing fixed asset registers within Xero, including asset additions, depreciation, and low-value pooling
• Preparing month-end accounting entries, including accruals, prepayments, and general ledger reconciliations
• Completing financial accounts through to trial balance, profit and loss, and balance sheet for review
• Supporting intercompany reconciliations and ensuring transactions are accurately recorded across multiple entities
• Investigating GST discrepancies, assisting with reconciliations, and supporting the team in clearing accounting backlogs arising from recent acquisitions

Your Profile: 

• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant ideally with commercial or Big 4 background
• Previous experience in investment or hospitality highly regarded
• CA/CPA qualified 
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skill
