The Role
As the Procurement and Contracts Officer, you will provide procurement support and advice across a range of goods and services, with a particular focus on Learning and Development activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end procurement activities, including planning, sourcing, tender evaluations and contract management.
• Provide procurement advice to internal stakeholders in accordance with Queensland Government policies and procedures.
• Prepare procurement documentation, including requests for quotes, evaluation plans, contracts and briefing notes.
• Assist stakeholders in developing specifications and identifying procurement strategies that deliver value for money.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and manage vendor records using SAP.
• Liaise with internal finance teams and shared service providers to resolve procurement and purchasing enquiries.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and support the management of the central procurement inbox.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes and procedures.

Ideal Experience

• Recent Queensland Government procurement experience within the last 6–12 months is essential.
• Strong understanding of Queensland Government procurement policies and procedures.
• Experience preparing requests for quotes, tenders, contracts and associated procurement documentation.
• Previous exposure to Learning and Development procurement will be highly regarded.
• Experience using SAP financial systems will be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
