The Organisation This boutique public practice firm is located just 10 minutes from the CBD, with the added convenience of being right next to public transport. Working directly with one of the Directors, you’ll gain hands-on exposure, strong mentorship, and the opportunity to rapidly grow your technical and client-facing skill set.
The Position This role can be shaped around your experience and long-term goals. Key responsibilities include:
Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
Supporting small business clients with turnovers up to $10 million
Managing BAS, IAS, and other statutory compliance lodgments
Staying informed on tax legislation and accounting standards
Providing tax planning and general business advisory
Workload split: approx. 80% compliance / 20% advisory (flexible based on your development)
Salary: $80,000–$100,000 + super (commensurate with experience)
Skills and Experience • Excellent communication skills
2+ years’ experience in Australian public practice
CPA/CA completed, in progress, or planning to commence (full study support provided)
Experience with MYOB and Xero preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
