The Organisation:
Our client is a boutique public practice in the beautiful inner suburb of Hamilton, established just shy of 40 years ago. Conveniently located between two train stations and offering free on-site parking, this position offers a painless commute. Led by a dynamic duo of Directors, and boasting an average tenure exceeding 6 years, this team is ready to welcome its newest member.
  
The Position:
This position is predominantly onsite, offering flexibility as needed. The role will be tailored to your experience at either the Intermediate or Senior Tax Accountant level but will include:

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
• Supporting various small business clients with up to 10 million in turnover
• Leading in the preparation and lodgment of BAS, IAS, and other statutory compliance
• Staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards
• Providing tax planning and general business advice to clientele
• Approximate split in duties: 80% compliance, 20% client advisory
• Salary range: $70,000-$100,000 plus super per annum depending on experience

Skills and Experience:

• A degree in Accounting, finance, or a related field
• 2+ years experience in public practice
• Completed, undertaking or planning to undertake CPA/CA
• Proficiency with Xero preferred
• A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
