About the Organisation:

This highly reputable, internationally recognised mid-tier firm have established themselves as leaders in the market for their excellent services across compliance and business advisory. Having seen exceptional promotion in their team, they are now looking for an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join one of the Business Services teams. 

This is an amazing opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant who is eager to get high-level advisory opportunities from the get-go, access to complex tax work to build a valuable range of skills, quick and tangible pathways to more senior and managerial opportunities (including directorship), and an amazing environment with a young team and a 'business casual' culture! 

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing financial statements and tax returns for entities such as partnerships, companies and trusts 
• Getting involved with more complex tax calculations across Div7a, CGT and FBT
• Engaging directly with clients for further documentation, answering queries and strategic tax planning advice 
• Working closely with 2 directors and a team of accountants (including a strong offshore team) to assist clients operating in agribusiness, medical spaces, construction and more! 

Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years' proven experience as an accountant in a public practice firm (required)
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and processes
• Experience using Xero and Microsoft Suite 
• Experience building strong client relationships (experience advising clients is a bonus!)
• Someone who loves working in an active environment with a great level of diversity in their role!
