Fibrous Plasterer
Our client has plenty of work in the pipeline and is looking for an experienced Fibrous Plasterer to work across residential and commercial projects in the Auckland area.
 
The Role
We are looking for a skilled Fibrous Plasterer to complete high-quality plastering and finishing work across residential and commercial construction projects throughout Hamilton.
You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, installing and finishing plasterboard, carrying out stopping work, and completing detailed finishing work to a professional standard.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least 3 years’ relevant experience as a Fibrous Plasterer
• Experience working with fiber-reinforced gypsum sheets
• Install and secure fiber-reinforced gypsum sheets to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, and fit gypsum-based components accurately
• Install and finish ornamental mouldings, cornices, ceiling roses, decorative panels, and other architectural plaster features
• Prepare moulds and cast decorative plaster components where required
• Apply plaster and finishing compounds to achieve smooth, high-quality surfaces
• Repair and restore damaged ornamental plasterwork and decorative features
• Prepare and finish joints, corners, curves, and detailed architectural features
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with decorative and ornamental finishes
• Ability to read measurements, plans, and specifications accurately
• Able to work independently and as part of a construction team
