About the Role:
As an Electrician for small appliances, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of commercial electrical equipment while delivering quality service both on-site and in the workshop. You will work independently and as part of a close-knit team, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing faults in commercial electrical equipment, particularly large fryers and ovens
- Repairing and maintaining commercial electrical equipment
- Attending on-site service calls
- Performing repairs within the workshop environment
- Completing electrical compliance checks
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records
- Communicating effectively with clients
- Communicating effectively with colleagues
- Working independently to complete assigned tasks
- Collaborating as part of a tight-knit team
- Following electrical safety and compliance requirements
- Assisting with the servicing and maintenance of a wide range of commercial appliances
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fault-finding, appliance repairs, customer interaction and working across both field service and workshop environments.
About You:We're looking for an experienced Electrician with commercial appliance servicing expertise, strong communication skills and the required New Zealand electrical licensing requirements.
- Minimum 3 years in electrical servicing or appliance repair
- Hold New Zealand electrical registration as an Electrician or have the qualifications and/or experience to obtain one
- Experience diagnosing and repairing commercial electrical equipment
- Hold a driver's licence equivalent to a New Zealand Class 1 driver's licence, or hold a New Zealand driver's licence with at least 6 months' driving experience
- Strong physical fitness and stamina
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to meet English language requirements (PTE Academic score of 29 or IELTS overall band score of 4.0)
- Ability to build positive working relationships and work effectively as part of a team
- Able to work independently when required
