About the Role:
As a Panelbeater, you will undertake vehicle panel repairs, touch-up painting and collision repair work while supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy workshop. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and economically.
Your responsibilities include:
- Undertaking vehicle panel repairs and touch-up painting work efficiently and economically
- Ensuring there is no unnecessary time spent on panel repairs or maintenance
- Completing job sheets accurately, including labour, parts used and work completed
- Updating and checking vehicle fault sheets following repairs
- Reporting quality control concerns relating to vehicles
- Ordering parts and materials required to complete repair tasks
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high-quality standard
- Maintaining health and safety compliance in accordance with company policy
- Attending training conferences and seminars as required
- Maintaining workshop and office areas in a clean and safe condition
- Supporting workshop operations and carrying out additional duties as required
This work is well suited to someone who enjoys hands-on repair work, vehicle restoration and maintaining high standards of workmanship within a team environment.
About You:We're looking for a highly experienced Panelbeater with strong technical knowledge, fabrication and painting skills, and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Minimum of 10 years' industry experience as a Panel Beater for bus, coach builder, truck & trailer or similar
- Strong technical knowledge relevant to vehicle panel repair and coach building
- Experience with MIG Welding and fabrication, vehicle painting (Painting Booth, Spray painting) and collision repairs (please provide videos)
- Hold a Class 2 and Class 4 Driver's Licence or an equivalent overseas licence
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to meet English language requirements of PTE Academic score of 29 or IELTS overall band score of 4.0
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proactive, goal-oriented and self-motivated approach to work
- Good planning, organisation and time management skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and skills development
- Ability to work collaboratively within a workshop team environment
