About the Role:
As a Solar Electrician, you will install, maintain and troubleshoot solar PV systems, including panels, mounting systems, cabling, inverters and battery storage. You will also carry out electrical work under EWRB requirements, support testing and commissioning, complete job documentation, and travel to project sites across New Zealand.
You will be expected to:
- Install and maintain solar PV systems, including panels, mounting systems, cabling, inverters and batteries.
- Perform electrical installation work within EWRB Limited Certificate and supervision requirements.
- Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and fault-finding activities.
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety and regulatory standards.
- Complete job documentation, timesheets and project records accurately.
- Participate in training and development to progress electrical registration.
- Maintain excellent health and safety practices at all times.
- Travel to project sites throughout New Zealand as required
This role is ideal for someone with solar PV experience, strong electrical skills, a safety-first mindset and a commitment to progressing their electrical registration.
About You:We’re looking for someone who brings the following skills and qualifications:
- EWRB Limited Certificate or pathway to registration
- Solar, electrical or related installation experience
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights
- Ability to travel throughout New Zealand and stay away overnight when required
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet English language requirements
- Ability to build positive working relationships and work effectively as part of a team
