Hours: Shift-based, guaranteed at least 30 hours per week

Our client specialises in innovative bakery ingredient solutions, supplying high-quality flour, yeast, premixes, and improvers to customers across Australasia. The Auckland Milling operation plays a critical role in delivering consistent, high-quality products to customers nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Shift Miller, you will be responsible for operating the mill during your shift and ensuring optimal performance across safety, quality, and production.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Operating and monitoring milling operations to achieve productivity, quality, and efficiency targets
• Maintaining quality and food safety standards across all milling processes
• Ensuring the mill operates cleanly and efficiently throughout each shift
• Monitoring roll settings, grists, blending, conditioning hours, and production forecasts
• Conducting regular inspections and quality sampling, including flour testing and documentation
• Ensuring correct handling, labelling, and rework of products
• Operating blending functions, wheat silo functions, and fumigation processes
• Communicating production issues, quality risks, and consumable requirements to the Mill Manager
• Completing accurate SAP production run entries and MAXIMO maintenance reporting
• Overseeing minor plant faults and coordinating maintenance tasks
• Leading shift handovers and communicating targets and priorities to incoming staff
• Supervising Assistant Millers and supporting on-the-job training and development
• Working collaboratively with quality, engineering, HSE, and site leadership teams
• Assisting in other production areas when required
• Ensuring compliance with all statutory, food safety, environmental, and health & safety requirements
