We are currently looking for reliable and motivated Scaffolders to join our team in Nelson. This is a permanent full-time opportunity working across a range of commercial and residential sites, with a supportive team and consistent workflow.

About the Role: As a Scaffolder, you will work as part of a team to erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding safely and efficiently. You will ensure that all scaffolding structures meet company safety standards and industry regulations so that they are safe for workers on site.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and work within a team to erect, dismantle, and alter scaffolding to NZ Best Practice Guidelines
- Calculate scaffold load requirements and ensure structures are capable of supporting required weight loads.
- Coach, train, and mentor scaffold teams to improve performance and safety
- Adjust scaffold designs and layouts to meet customer and site requirements
- Check and certify scaffolding installations when required
- Manage loading and unloading of trucks to maximise efficiency and gear usage
- Complete site safety documentation and ensure all H&S requirements are met
- Communicate clearly with management, operations, customers, and site personnel
- Accurately record job details, time, equipment use, and health & safety incidents
- Maintain responsibility for company vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Participate in health and safety meetings, training, and audits
- Lead site handovers and coordinate daily tasks
- Support continuous improvement and company values
About You: To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 1 year of relevant scaffolding experience, including erection and dismantling
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Strong health and safety knowledge and leadership by example
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
- Ability to design scaffolds and complete gear listings (when required)
- Experience across residential and commercial scaffolding projects
- Experience across multiple scaffolding systems, including scaffold Layher, SpeedyScaf, and All-Round preferred
- Class 2 Truck Licence (or overseas equivalent) preferred
- Complete a pre-employment drug & alcohol test on request
- Provide an up-to-date criminal record check on request
