Position: Management Accountant – Shared Services
Location: Christchurch
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary Range: $70,000 to $90,000
Hours: Full-time (minimum 30 hours per week)

They are seeking a skilled and commercially focused Management Accountant to join their Shared Services Finance team, supporting the wider business through accurate reporting, financial control, and strategic insight.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Management Accountant – Shared Services, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing financial functions critical to business performance.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing group payables, finance activities, and financial reporting across the organisation
- Supporting strategic financial planning, analysis, and decision-making
- Leading budgeting and forecasting processes for the Shared Services division
- Preparing accurate and timely financial and divisional reports
- Managing and monitoring company assets, including valuations and utilisation
- Overseeing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing treasury functions, including cash flow, banking relationships, and intercompany transfers
- Collaborating with divisional management accountants across freight and warehousing
- Providing oversight and support to accounts payable and payroll functions
- Performing internal audit testing and ensuring financial controls are adhered to
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and financial policies
- Identifying and implementing process improvements within finance systems and workflows
To be successful in this role, you will need: - Tertiary level qualification at/above NZQF level 7 in Finance, Accounting, or related field, OR at least 3 years’ relevant work experience
- Professional accounting qualification (such as CA, CPA, ATEC) preferred
- Experience in finance management, preferably in logistics or warehousing environment
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, such as NetSuite and Business Intelligence reporting
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- High computer literacy (Excel and Word) with excellent data entry and word processing skills
- Familiarity with accounts payable, payroll, forecasting, and financial reporting.
