Position: Tyre Technician
Location: Northland
Type: Full-time/Permanent
Pay Range: $30 to $35 per hour
Days: Monday to Friday (with occasional calls on weekends)
Hours: Guaranteed at least 30 hours per week
 
The Company:
Our client is a trusted Northland automotive service provider known for high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. They are seeking an experienced Senior Tyre Technician to join their team and support the growing demand for specialist tyre and wheel alignment services across heavy automotive vehicles.
 
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Tyre Technician, your main responsibilities will include advanced tyre servicing and diagnostics. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Inspect, fit, repair, and replace tyres on heavy vehicles to ensure safety and performance.
• Carry out wheel alignments, balancing, and routine tyre servicing.
• Communicate clearly with customers about warranties, guarantees, legal requirements, and provide accurate estimates and quotes.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of tyre technology, alignment techniques, safety standards, and industry best practices.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Three years of relevant tyre technician or heavy vehicle tyre service experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly explain technical information to customers.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently with heavy equipment.
• Reliability, professionalism, and strong problem-solving skills
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Must have a clean police report with no charges pending.
