Pay range: $29.66 - $35/Hour
Days: Monday to Friday (some Saturdays will be required)
Hours: Guaranteed 30hours and standard hours of 47.5hrs/week

Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Flooring Installer to join our Gisborne-based team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing floor surfaces to the required standard and installing various types of flooring including carpet, vinyl, vinyl planks, laminate flooring, and acoustic wall linings. Your work will directly contribute to the satisfaction of our clients and the success of our projects.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare floor surfaces for new floor coverings in line with professional standards
• Transport flooring products and tools to installation sites
• Install a wide range of coverings including carpet rolls, carpet tiles, vinyl rolls, vinyl planks, laminate flooring, and acoustic wall and ceiling linings
• Liaise with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure smooth on-site operations
• Ensure work is completed efficiently and to high quality standards with minimal rework
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite
• Adhere to workplace health and safety protocols at all times

 
About You

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in carpet and vinyl flooring installation
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials as required
• Flexible with work hours and available for occasional Saturday work
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Clean and professional presentation, with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Must have a clean criminal record (no charges pending)
