Position: Quality Assurance Coordinator
Location: Wiri, Auckland
Type: Full-time/Permanent
Pay Range: $30 to $35 per hour
Days: Monday to Friday (with occasional calls on weekends)
Hours: Guaranteed at least 30 hours per week with standard hours of 40 hours per week
The Company:
With more than 50 years of experience, our client is a respected New Zealand-based clothing manufacturer and distributor. They are known for delivering high-quality garments and are continuously improving their operations to meet the growing expectations of their customers. As they look to strengthen their internal processes, they are now seeking a proactive and collaborative Quality Assurance Coordinator to join their Wiri-based team.
The Role
This role is critical in maintaining and evolving the company's quality systems and operational processes. The successful candidate will use lean principles and process mapping to identify opportunities for improvement, support the development of a Quality Management System (QMS), and enhance training and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, your main responsibilities will include improve processes, build systems, and elevate quality performance. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and manage a QMS using lean process maps to improve garment quality
- Continuously review and refine operational processes for efficiency
- Maintain up-to-date training records and ensure staff engagement with the QMS
- Minimise risk through effective training and clear documentation
- Champion 5S practices to maintain a clean and efficient work environment
- Ensure workplace health and safety standards are met for all personnel
- Align internal systems with ISO 9001 principles and future certification goals
- Collaborate across departments to resolve issues and support customer service
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least three (3) years’ experience in warehouse operations, including stock movement and inventory control
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the business
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A continuous improvement mindset with experience in process evaluation and refinement
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain composure under pressure
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Must have a clean police report with no charges pending.
