Location: Whakatane
Hours: Mon-Fri, minimum 45hours between 6am-6pm
Pay: Competitive, based on experience.

Role Overview: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join the team for a milk delivery run. The role involves safely operating a Class 2 vehicle, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safe Driving & Delivery: Operate a Class 2 vehicle in compliance with NZTA regulations and company policies.
• Loading & Unloading: Load and unload milk crates using manual handling techniques or lifting equipment.
• Route Management: Follow assigned delivery routes efficiently while adapting to traffic or weather conditions.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, ensuring timely deliveries and resolving any minor issues on-site.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and customer invoices.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, report any mechanical issues, and ensure the truck is clean and well-maintained.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and food handling guidelines.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 NZ Driver’s License (or ability to obtain one).
• Proven experience in delivery driving, preferably in food or beverage distribution.
• Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Strong physical fitness for lifting and carrying crates.
• Excellent time management and the ability to work independently.
• Basic knowledge of logbooks, route planning, and GPS navigation.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly in food handling and transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift endorsement (F) is a plus.
• Previous experience with temperature-controlled deliveries is advantageous.
• Knowledge of local delivery routes and traffic regulations.
