Be Recruitment is partnering with a well-established not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Specialist Case Worker – DFSV
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced DFSV practitioner who is passionate about supporting young people experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence and helping them build safer, more independent futures.
About the Role
You will provide specialist, trauma-informed, client centred case management to young women aged 12–25 experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence.
The position combines direct client support with opportunities to strengthen the knowledge, skills and confidence of the wider team through specialist advice, coaching and mentoring.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide specialist DFSV case management, risk assessments and safety planning.
- Support and advocate for young people experiencing complex circumstances.
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with relevant community services.
- Provide specialist advice, coaching and mentoring to colleagues.
- Contribute to training and workforce capability development.
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation.
About You Above all, our client is seeking someone who is genuinely passionate about supporting young people and making a difference in the lives of those impacted by domestic, family and sexual violence.
You will bring: - Demonstrated experience working in DFSV services.
- Strong knowledge of DFSV risk assessment, safety planning and trauma-informed practice.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and a strengths-based approach.
- Strong case management, advocacy and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience using DVSAT to assess DFSV risk, alongside knowledge of SAMs and associated referral and escalation processes.
- Confidence sharing specialist knowledge and supporting the development of other practitioners.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in DFSV.
- Current Working with Children Check, National Police Check and driver's licence.
Previous experience working directly with young people is highly regarded but not essential. Our client welcomes applications from experienced DFSV practitioners with a genuine interest in working with young people.
