Board Director Opportunities

Be Executive is proud to be partnering with The Barbara May Foundation to identify two passionate and experienced Board Directors to join our purpose-driven organisation as we continue our work improving access to safe maternity care and health outcomes in developing communities.
This is an opportunity to contribute your expertise to an organisation creating tangible impact internationally, while working alongside an engaged and values-led Board.
Commitment
- Four Board meetings per year
- Two meetings conducted face-to-face in Sydney
- Remaining meetings held virtually
- Opportunity to contribute strategically outside formal meetings as required
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from leaders with expertise in one of the following areas:
1. Construction / Project Management We are particularly interested in individuals with experience delivering projects internationally, ideally within Africa or other developing regions.
Experience may include:
- Construction or infrastructure delivery
- Community development projects
- Project management in remote or international settings
- NGO or humanitarian infrastructure programs
- Stakeholder engagement across diverse cultural environments
The successful candidate will bring practical insight into delivering sustainable projects in complex environments.
2. IT & Cyber Security
We are also seeking a Board Director with strong technology and cyber security expertise.
Experience may include:
- Cyber security governance and risk
- IT strategy and infrastructure
- Digital transformation
- Data privacy and protection
- Technology leadership or advisory experience
This Director will support the organisation in strengthening governance, systems resilience and future-focused digital capability.
About You You are a strategic and collaborative leader who is passionate about contributing your expertise to a mission-driven organisation. Previous Board experience and a qualification from the AICD is welcomed but not essential for candidates with strong executive or specialist backgrounds.
