ABOUT THE ROLE

An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a growing boutique practice on a permanent part-time basis. Working closely with the Practice Principal, you will advise on a broad range of commercial contracting matters and play a key role in delivering practical, commercially focused outcomes for clients.

This role offers a high degree of autonomy and would suit a lawyer who enjoys technical drafting work, direct client engagement and managing matters through the full contract lifecycle.

You will:

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements
• Advise clients on legal and commercial risks arising from contractual arrangements
• Review and respond to contract mark-ups and negotiation positions
• Prepare practical, commercially focused recommendations and drafting solutions
• Work closely with senior stakeholders on contract strategy and risk management
• Liaise directly with clients regarding contractual issues and proposed amendments
• Manage multiple matters and competing priorities effectively
• Utilise contract review technology and document comparison tools as part of the review process

  
ABOUT YOU

You will have:

• At least 4 years' post-admission experience in commercial, corporate or contracts-focused practice areas
• Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
• Strong technical drafting skills and excellent attention to detail
• A practical and commercially focused approach to problem solving
• The ability to identify legal and commercial risks and provide pragmatic advice
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence engaging directly with clients and stakeholders
• Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences or other regulated industries will be highly regarded but is not essential.
