ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced transactional lawyer to join a highly regarded finance and restructuring team. This role focuses on complex restructuring, refinancing and strategic advisory matters, working with a broad range of stakeholders on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions.

The practice is transaction-focused and offers exposure to challenging commercial situations, distressed opportunities and business transformation matters, rather than traditional litigation-based insolvency work.

You will:

• Advise on corporate restructures, refinancing and recapitalisation transactions
• Draft and negotiate a range of finance and restructuring documentation
• Work on debt restructures, turnaround initiatives and business recovery matters
• Assist with strategic stakeholder negotiations and transaction execution
• Advise on governance, risk and restructuring options in complex commercial environments
• Support acquisitions, disposals and investment transactions involving distressed or special situations assets
• Collaborate with clients and advisers to deliver commercially focused outcomes

ABOUT YOU

You will have:

• At least 5 years' post-admission experience in restructuring, finance, corporate or related transactional practice areas
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across complex commercial transactions
• A sound understanding of finance, corporate and restructuring principles
• Excellent commercial judgement and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
• The ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Experience managing matters in fast-paced and time-sensitive environments
• A desire to work closely with clients and contribute to a collaborative team culture
