ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Wills & Estates practitioner to step into a senior leadership role within a growing practice. You will manage a diverse portfolio spanning estate planning, complex estate administration, trust disputes and litigation, while mentoring junior lawyers and contributing strategically to the development of the team.

The role offers meaningful, relationship-driven work, particularly in sensitive and high-value matters, with autonomy to manage files and shape client strategy.

You will:

• Advise on wills, powers of attorney and comprehensive succession planning
• Manage probate and Letters of Administration applications and complex estate administration matters
• Act in estate litigation matters, including Part IV claims, caveat disputes and executor removal applications
• Handle VCAT administration and guardianship matters
• Advise on and manage trust disputes
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and support staff
• Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the practice

ABOUT YOU

You will have:

• At least 10 years' post-admission experience in Wills & Estates
• Strong technical expertise across both advisory and contentious estate matters
• Excellent drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior practitioners
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to file management
• A compassionate and client-focused mindset when handling sensitive matters
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• The ambition and capability to contribute to business development initiatives
