ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exceptional opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level tax lawyer to join a highly regarded and growing taxation team. You'll advise on complex tax issues arising from significant public and private transactions, disputes and audits, working closely with senior practitioners and multidisciplinary teams.
 
You'll be encouraged to take ownership of matters, develop strategic thinking, and deliver commercially focused advice to sophisticated clients.
 
You will:

• Advise on income tax and indirect tax issues across public and private transactions
• Support major tax audits, investigations and disputes
• Work with private groups, high-net-worth individuals, trusts and corporate clients
• Assist on complex restructures, investments and strategic transactions
• Engage with the ATO, counsel and other advisers
• Collaborate with commercial, property, litigation and corporate teams

 
ABOUT YOU

You will have:

• 2-4 years' post-admission experience in taxation law
• Exposure to both transactional tax work and tax disputes
• A strong interest in complex tax problem-solving
• Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills
• A commercial mindset and attention to detail
• Confidence working with clients and stakeholders
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
