Project Manager – Heavy Highway (TXDOT)
Location: San Antonio, TX

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large TXDOT heavy highway reconstruction project in San Antonio. This multi-year project involves roadway, storm drainage, utilities, and earthwork, offering long-term stability and a chance to take ownership of high-value work.

What You’ll Do

• Manage all aspects of project planning, scheduling, and execution
• Oversee budgets, costs, and progress reporting
• Negotiate and track change orders, RFIs, submittals, and pay applications
• Coordinate resources with operations and field leadership
• Lead and mentor project engineers, superintendents, and foremen
• Build strong relationships with TXDOT, regulators, and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and project quality plans

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil/highway
• Proven experience on TXDOT projects (roadway, storm, utilities, dirt)
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency with HCSS Heavy Job, P6 scheduling, and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills, team-oriented mindset, and steady career tenure
