We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in asphalt paving and heavy highway construction. This role offers stability, strong local backlog, and the opportunity to manage DOT, interstate, and design-build projects across the Rock Hill / Charlotte region.

Responsibilities:

• Lead asphalt paving and heavy highway projects from bid through closeout
• Manage crews, subcontractors, schedules, materials, and equipment
• Oversee cost controls, budgets, change orders, and job costing (HCSS or similar)
• Ensure DOT compliance, QA/QC, and smooth project execution
• Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and clients on project progress
• Maintain safe operations and support HR/training compliance

Requirements:

• 3+ years of Project Management in asphalt/heavy highway construction
• DOT project experience (interstates, highways, design-build exposure preferred)
• Proficiency with HCSS HeavyJob/HeavyBid (or similar software)
• Strong technical understanding of asphalt paving (plant coordination, laydown, compaction, density)
• Stable work history with long-term employment in asphalt construction
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent preferred
• Based within ~1 hour of Rock Hill / Charlotte (no relocation provided)
