About the Role:
A leading general contractor specializing in heavy civil infrastructure is seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to join their team in San Antonio, TX/ New Braunfels, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful execution of complex water and wastewater projects throughout Central Texas. Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in all phases of project execution, from pre-construction through closeout
• Review project plans, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with contract documents
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to maintain schedule and budget
• Track and manage RFI’s, change orders, material procurement, and project documentation
• Prepare and update project schedules, cost reports, and progress documentation
• Support site safety initiatives and assist with jobsite quality control
• Participate in client and team meetings and provide technical support as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 1–5 years of relevant experience in heavy civil construction (water/wastewater experience preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management and scheduling software (e.g., Bluebeam, P6, Procore, etc.)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel to local job sites as needed
