Pipe foreman

Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Instill Safety as a top priority.
· Provides on-site supervision and direction to crew members.
· Familiar with project specifications and ability to understand plans.
· Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.
· Ensure crew time cards are filled out and submitted weekly.
· Fill out daily foreman reports.
· Analyze and resolve issues that may arise.
· Ability to explain and understands survey and grade staking (Lasers, Transits, and GPS)
· Manage all excavating activities for your crew.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years as a pipe foreman / supervisor in the Highway Heavy Civil Construction Industry
· Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices.
· Must be familiar with heavy equipment
· Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
· Must have a valid Driver’s License.
· Ability to work with tools and equipment such as, power and non-power tools.
· Frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50lbs.
· Positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills.
· Time management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial.
· Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
Working Conditions
· Construction Site Environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Lifting and carrying material and objects. Exposed to high noise levels.
