Associate Director - Building Surveyor
London | Senior, Strategic.
 
Thomas Search is partnering with an independent, data-driven commercial real estate advisory. Working closely with the Director, you will take a lead position within a growing Building Consultancy team, acting as a trusted advisor to occupiers and stakeholders across the full property lifecycle. We're hiring an Associate Director to work alongside the Department Director in a senior, client-facing, strategically pivotal role.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing long-term client relationships at senior level
• Delivery of condition reports, dilapidations advice and technical due diligence
• Project management of commercial fit-out schemes
• Providing commercially grounded technical advice informed by market data
• Collaborating with transactional, workplace and technology teams to deliver integrated advisory outcomes

 What You'll Lead

• Build trusted, long-term relationships with occupiers & stakeholders
• Deliver condition reports, dilapidations assessments & commercial technical advice
• Lead project management on fit-out scheme
• Translate market intelligence into strategic property solutions
• Work seamlessly across service lines, transactions, workplace strategy, tech

Who We're Looking For
 
This role will suit an experienced Building Surveyor operating at Senior Associate or Associate Director level who is looking to broaden influence and take on greater strategic responsibility.

• Degree in Building Surveying or similar (MRICS/MCIOB desirable)
• Strong experience in commercial dilapidations, acquisition surveys & asset advisory
• Outstanding report writing & client communication skills
• Comfortable with data & property tech - curious and analytical
• A solutions oriented leader with commercial instinct
