The Role:  
 
Granite Works Stone Design is seeking a driven and hands-on Production Manager to lead our high-performing stone fabrication team. This is not a maintenance role — it’s a leadership opportunity for someone who thrives on structure, accountability, and results. You’ll oversee the full back-end operation of our fabrication shop — templating, programming, fabrication, cutting, finishing, installation, and machine maintenance (including our Brenton equipment).
  
You’ll have the autonomy to implement systems, train and develop your team, optimize performance across the board, and promote a positive team culture — all while helping us scale toward our next major milestone: $6M+ in production growth.

 
Pay Range: $100k - 150k + sign on bonus & quarterly bonus opportunities!

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the production process: templating, CNC programming, cutting, polishing, and installation
• Maintain and operate Brenton CNC machinery, ensuring performance and proactive maintenance
• Lead, mentor, and develop the production team—setting expectations, creating accountability, promoting team culture, and encouraging collaboration
• Create and implement clear SOPs across all production stages
• Coordinate with sales and front-end teams to ensure smooth job flow and on-time delivery
• Track and meet key performance indicators (KPIs) including square footage installed, scrap rate, rework percentage, and job completion timelines
• Own quality control standards and ensure excellence in every install
• Report directly to ownership and the executive team, providing weekly updates and data-driven insights
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of production and install staff

 
Qualifications / Experience:

• [Preferred] 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the stone fabrication industry [but candidates with strong operational leadership experience in other industries are encouraged to apply]
• Deep knowledge of CNC machine operation, programming (especially Brenton), and fabrication best practices [preferred, not required]
• Proven leadership experience—managing teams, training staff, and building culture
• Familiarity with templating and installation procedures [preferred]
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to analyze data, set KPIs, and drive accountability
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment
• Tech-savvy — must be comfortable operating and implementing digital tools and technology to improve production.
