Job Summary:
 
Granite Works Stone Design is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the fabrication and installation of luxury stone countertops. This will include project planning, team management, client relations, quality control, and budget management. We support an environment of growth and opportunity – we promote from within!
 
Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000 salary (contingent on experience)
 
REQUIRED: Valid Driver’s License with minimal incidents or points in the last 3 years

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Coordination:
• Develop detailed project schedules outlining timelines, resources, and budgets in our ERP system.
• Work closely with internal teams to establish project requirements and expectations.
• Coordinate with the Production Team processes, ensuring that fabrication timelines are met and set properly.
• Schedule and approve raw material delivery and dates.
• Team Management & Leadership:
• Lead and motivate the Template, Drafting, and Programming teams to achieve project goals and timelines.
• Lead and motivate the Material Handling team to ensure guidelines are followed and timelines met.
• Assign tasks to team members and ensure proper resource allocation.
• Provide guidance and support to teams during each phase of the project.
• Client Relations & Communication:
• Serve as the technical point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate project progress, delays, and changes to clients and staff regularly through accurately updating our ERP system.
• Address and resolve client concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Quality Control & Compliance:
• Ensure that all granite products meet company and industry standards for quality.
• Monitor the fabrication and installation process to ensure adherence to safety guidelines and quality control procedures.
• Oversee inspections and ensure proper installation of the final product.
• Budget & Resource Management:
• Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure that projects stay within financial limits.
• Approve purchase orders and ensure materials are sourced efficiently and within budget.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing for materials and services.
• Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:
• Identify potential risks and proactively address issues that may affect project timelines or budgets.
• Manage any project deviations or challenges, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of all project-related activities in our ERP system, including contracts, change orders, and material costs.
• Provide regular project status reports for staff and clients.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in project management, preferably within the granite fabrication or stone industry.
• Strong understanding of granite fabrication processes, including cutting, polishing, and finishing techniques.
• Excellent skills and understanding of industry-specific Templating and Installation techniques.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift more than 50 lbs.
• Able to crouch, bend, and climb stairs/ladders
• Able to stand for long periods.
