Instrument & Control Technician
Location: Pembrokeshire, onsite
HOURS: TDO fortnight (every other Friday off)
Type: Permanent

Our client Our client is based within the Oil & Gas industry in Pembrokeshire. They are currently seeking a Instrument & Control Technician to work with their Maintenance team.
Job Description/ The role: The Instrument & Control Technician will join a highly skilled Maintenance Department within a busy Oil & Gas environment, providing technical support across the site. The role will involve carrying out preventative maintenance, calibration, fault finding, repairs and installation work on a range of instrumentation and control systems critical to safe operations.
The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Functional Safety and safety critical systems, DCS and PLC equipment. Experience with telecommunications systems would also be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities: - Carry out maintenance, fault finding, calibration, repairs and installation on instrumentation and control equipment.
- Maintain and support Safety Instrumented Systems in line with Functional Safety standards.
- Complete planned maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
- Accurately record work using the site maintenance system, SAP.
- Support inspections and compliance, including work on hazardous area equipment.
- Work closely with operations, engineering and contractors to support safe site operations.
What we need from you: - Completed recognised Instrument & Controls apprenticeship and/or HNC/HND in a relevant discipline.
- CompEx certification (Ex 01, 02, 03 and 04).
- Strong understanding of Functional Safety and Safety Instrumented Systems (IEC 61511)
