Job Title: Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver 

Location: Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire 

Job Type: Full time - approx 6 months temporary cover

Pay:  £12.21ph, overtime rate is £16.28 for any hours worked over 40 hours in a week

Hours:  40 hours/week
Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.00pm, plus Saturdays (9.00am-5.00pm) and Sundays (10.00am-4.00pm) on a rota basis


Responsibilities:

• Picking orders, recording and checking stock, collating paperwork, yard picking
• Loading customers orders directly into their vehicles and preparing order to be delivered directly to farms
• Dealing with customers face to face in a professional manner
• Placing all incoming goods in an organised and efficient manner, and identifying stock anomalies and taking appropriate action
• Storing chemicals and hazardous goods in the correct manner
• Operating a forklift truck whilst adhering to requisite Health and Safety standards
• Participating in any duties in the interests of Health & Safety, including COSHH compliance, Spillage clean-up, and safe manual handling

Requirements:

• Able to carry out a manual handling role, and be able to lift 25kg in a safe manner
• Strong work ethic with a reliable and punctual approach
• Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or agricultural setting (desirable)
• Able to drive a Counterbalance Forklift, with appropriate valid licence/s (highly desirable)
• Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
• Able to memorise stock locations
• Professional towards supporting customers needs
• Able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment
