Job Description/ The role: The role of Commercial and Project Control Manager will support companywide reporting and play a key part in developing project control processes, with a particular focus on an innovative project launching in the near future. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project controls, planning, and cost management, with excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Project. Some UK travel may be required.
  
Responsibilities:

• Manage the Change Control process, ensuring accurate documentation and communication.
• Oversee Compensation Events in line with contract requirements.
• Implement and maintain a suitable project control system.
• Prepare clear weekly and monthly planning and progress reports.
• Monitor and report project costs through an effective cost control system.
• Lead document control and keep project records up to date.
• Support QSHE leads to ensure safe delivery and promote a positive H&S culture.

  
What is required from you:

• Degree in engineering, finance, or related field (engineering preferred but not essential)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within civil construction
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contract administration
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
• Demonstrated commitment to health & safety standards
• Willingness to travel across the UK as needed

  
Desirable:

• Experience with Primavera P6
• Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 or APMP
• Health & Safety certifications, e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH
