Accountant  

Location: Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire 

Hours: Full time 35 hrs a week

Type: Permanent 

Salary: £28,000-£32,000 with potential for negotiation based on experience.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client in Llandeilo! Sunny is seeking an enthusiastic individual to become part of their friendly, well-established team, contributing to a highly respected practice with over three decades of experience. Our client is known locally for it's quality services and approachable staff offering customised accounting and tax solutions to a diverse client base, including those in the commerce and agricultural sectors.

Responsibilities include:
  

• Handling all aspects of bookkeeping, general accounting, and compliance services.
• Preparing and submitting various tax returns, including VAT, personal tax, business tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax, and trust & estate returns.
• Providing strategic tax planning advice, such as inheritance tax planning and guidance for non-residency clients.
• Managing payroll services and offering specialised accounting and tax advice to buy-to-let landlords.
• Building strong client relationships and offering proactive financial guidance.

About you: 
  

• You'll be Semi senior, fully qualified or qualified by experience.
• You will be AAT/ACCA/ACA or ATT/CTA qualified 
• You must have had previous experience in an accountancy private practice office environment.
• Must be able to deal with Accounts Production for Sole Traders, Partnerships & Ltd Companies.
• You are able to liaise with HMRC and deal with Corporate Tax ,Personal Tax & VAT preparations 
• You can use excel & operate in house book keeping software such as Intuit Quick books.
• You will be able to cover inhouse payroll department as required.

• Will be paid commensurate with past experience.
• Initial Salary scale will be circa 28k – 32k
• Auto enrolment employer pension contributions will exceed the minimum statutory employer contribution threshold.
• 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
• Additional 5 days (depending how the days fall) on top of the 23 to be used across the Christmas break when the office closes.
