The Role:
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join their team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for 500 employees. This position requires hands-on experience with Micropay and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes chaotic environment. Your core duties will include:
  

• Manage, process and review payroll across Australia for 500 staff members both fortnightly and monthly using Micropay
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and company policies.
• Maintain and update payroll records, including leave balances, superannuation, and tax details.
• Address payroll queries from employees in a professional and timely manner.
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and errors efficiently.

  
  
About You:

• Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably using Micropay.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to effectively handle employee inquiries.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
