The Role
As Accounting Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of accountants while overseeing workflow management, client service delivery and team performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys developing people, building client relationships and contributing to the ongoing success of the business. Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of accountants
• Managing workflow, productivity and team performance
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Reviewing work and providing technical guidance
• Monitoring and reporting on financial and non-financial KPIs
• Supporting business growth and client retention initiatives
• Working closely with leadership to drive team success
• Encouraging a collaborative and high-performing culture
About You
• Significant experience within Australian public practice
• Previous leadership or management experience
• Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge
• Proven ability to mentor and develop team members
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong understanding of KPI management and team performance
• Desire to be actively involved in office leadership and team development
