THE ROLE

Offshore based involving the supervision of wellsite activities during well completion activities located offshore Victoria, on the Transocean Equinox semi-submersible drilling rig.

Initially based in Client office in Perth,  to undertake detailed operational planning prior to the handover of the rig from the previous rig consortium operator to the Client.  Will revert to an offshore Victoria based position for well completion operations. In the initial planning period, visits to Adelaide may be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide leadership to achieve well objectives consistent with the Client values.
• Compliance with Client Well Engineering Management & Construction Systems 
• Compliance with well construction phases of Well Operations Management Plans (WOMP’s).
• Visible safety leadership at the wellsite including active participation in onsite safety programs.
• Direct, supervise and optimise all well completion and intervention related rig operations.
• Monitor, document and report all rig operations affecting the well operations.
• Ensures a positive safety culture within the well construction team which is focussed on both process and individual (behavioural) safety.
• Works with the Drilling and Subsea teams to ensure well operations are executed optimally.
• Initiate or contribute to Management of Change (MOC) process as required.
• Support the development of detailed operations plans.
• Conduct accurate completion and space out pipe tallies
• Supervision of wellbore clean up operations
• Supervision of Electric line and slickline operations including deployment of perforating guns
• Supervision of circulating / pumping operations and pressure testing
• Support development of rig handover and load-out plans
• Inspection and Preparation of equipment including QA/QC prior to mobilisation and participation in System Integrity Testing (SIT’s)
• Provide input into planning workshops.
• Accountable for delivery of operations activities in line with performance criteria detailed in operations programs.
• Participate in the risk assessment process.
• Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
• Preparation of detailed operations plans including Standing Instructions to Drillers.
• Accountability for the delivery of operations activities in line with performance criteria detailed in drilling and completion programs.
• Accountability for the safe and efficient implementation of well completion activities offshore.
• Accountable for ensuring all completion activities undertaken are:
  • discussed in a pre-job meeting
  • covered by a detailed procedure(s)
  • adequately risk assessed
  • understood by all personnel involved in the task
• Provision of support and leadership to other members of the offshore execution team such that the work program can meet the following performance objectives;
  • HSEC
  • Subsurface
  • Budgetary
  • Well Performance
  • Compliance
• Oversight of data and document control requirements.
• Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all appropriate pre-run checks, pipe tallies, tests, measurements and inspections are carried out.
• Ensure unused or recovered equipment is prepared, protected and handled in a manner that provides the greatest opportunity for future use.
• Provide input into the drilling, well operations, completion and intervention plans.
• Monitor all personnel, equipment and materials preparation and movements to ensure that there are no delays to the program.
• Accurate and timely reporting of activities using Client daily reporting system.
• Understands key terms and conditions for all service partner contracts to ensure they are complying with their contractual obligations

SELECTION CRITERA

• 10 years in offshore Well Completions, Workover and Intervention operations.
• 5 years floating MODU operations.
• Experience in Subsea well completion and intervention operations.
• Experience with expandable sand screen, and or gravel pack. completions working with solids free drill in fluids etc.
• Experience with E-line, Slickline and perforating operations.
• Currently hold or will obtain an IWCF Level 4 Subsea Supervisors Certificate.
• Currently hold or will obtain a BOSIET including CA-EBS and Escape Chute Training.

  Candidates with the following experience are preferred:

• Floating MODU operations in harsh weather environments.
• Subsea well completion operations incorporating horizontal xmas trees.
• Gravel pack / Expandable screens, open hole completions.
• Operations utilising inner work strings.
• Operations utilising solids free drill in and underbalanced fluids.
• Well flow back / clean up operations offshore.
• Offshore Australian operations.
