Our client SAGE Community Services is seeking skilled and experienced Domestic and Family Violence Case Manager who will work to ensure high quality, timely, trauma informed services are provided the Western Sydney Northwest and Southwest Metropolitan districts.
About the Opportunity… This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced community services case manager to join SAGE Community Services in a pivotal domestic and family violence role, supporting male victim survivors aged 16 years and over.
The role is primarily phone-based and includes proactively contacting clients to:
- Assess domestic and family violence risk and develop safety plans
- Coordinate support needs, information, referrals and advocacy
- Provide case management based on individual needs
- Connect clients with appropriate services and supports
- Provide face-to-face and outreach support where appropriate
Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll manage your own caseload and work collaboratively with internal and external services to support clients' safety, wellbeing and connection to community.

- 35 hours per week
- SCHADS Award Level 5
- Based in Pendle Hill, however some home visits and work across the district required as needed such as for outreach in Mount Druitt and Burwood
About the program… The Safer Pathway Local Support Services is a NSW Government funded program that supports male victim/survivors of domestic and family violence (aged over 16) through tailored, coordinated services based on their needs and level of threat to their safety.

What you’ll need to succeed… This role will suit an experienced and collaborative community services case manager with strong case management, communication and problem-solving skills, ideally gained within domestic and family violence or other complex community services. The successful candidate will bring a genuine commitment to trauma-informed, culturally safe and inclusive practice, along with a passion for supporting male victim survivors and helping them achieve safer, stronger futures.
Selection Criteria… - Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Social Sciences or a related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience delivering casework or direct support to people experiencing domestic violence
- Experience supporting people affected by trauma and complex needs, including DFV, child protection, mental health, substance use and social disadvantage
- Strong risk assessment and safety planning skills, with knowledge of child protection, mandatory reporting and information-sharing requirements
- Ability to provide culturally safe and responsive support to people from diverse communities
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to build genuine, trust-based relationships with clients and service partners
- Strong organisational and case management skills, including managing caseloads, deadlines and accurate records
- Confidence using online case management systems, databases and data reporting tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality and professional development
- Ability to communicate confidently in other languages relevant to our community (such as Arabic, Cantonese, Hindi, Korean, Mandarin, Nepali, Punjabi, Tamil, Tagalog)
- Current driver’s licence and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Current WWCC and Police Check
- Highly regarded: Experience in DCJ-funded community services, evidence-based programs, service development or quality improvement; knowledge of Western Sydney referral pathways
