Our client Hawkesbury Community Outreach Services Inc. (HCOS) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Team Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of community-based programs for children, young people, and families across the Hawkesbury.

You’ll be responsible for:
- Designing, delivering and evaluating community-based programs
- Supporting and supervising a small, passionate team
- Conducting community needs assessments and engagement activities
- Building strong partnerships with schools, services, and local networks
- Leading advocacy efforts, preparing reports, and contributing to broader systemic change
You’ll play a key role in ensuring our programs remain responsive, inclusive and aligned with the Targeted Early Intervention (TEI) framework, funded by the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).

- Full Time or Part Time
- Up to 37.5 hours per week
- Contract position, with strong potential for long-term impact
- SCHADS Award Level 5-6 (dependant on experience)
- Based in Kurrajong, working across the Hawkesbury LGA

Located within the tranquil setting of McMahon’s Park, Kurrajong, HCOS provides inclusive, strengths-based support to children, youth, families, and the wider community.
Their programs include early intervention, youth activities, parenting support, school holiday programs, and case management services—built on a foundation of collaboration, compassion, and community engagement.
What you’ll need to succeed… You’re a proactive and experienced professional who brings strong leadership skills, cultural awareness, and a deep commitment to community development. You'll need to be flexible, organised, and confident in managing people, programs, and partnerships.
Selection Criteria… - Relevant tertiary qualifications in Community, Youth, Social Work or a related field
- Proven experience managing or coordinating community, child, youth or family programs
- Strong interpersonal, communication and team leadership skills
- Ability to work with and support a small team
- Knowledge of DCJ or Department of Education frameworks, or willingness to learn
- Experience in advocacy, partnership building, and needs assessment
- A valid NSW driver’s licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
- Current Working with Children Check and National Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain)
