Our client Richmond Community Services Inc. (RCSI) is looking for a dedicated Youth & Family Support Worker to deliver impactful early intervention work with families and lead youth engagement programs focused on harm prevention and community wellbeing. About the Opportunity… This is a dynamic and rewarding role where you’ll work directly with young people and families in the Hawkesbury community to strengthen wellbeing, resilience, and connection. Your work will include providing early support to families experiencing challenges, delivering casework and parenting support, and helping to build capacity for positive change.
You’ll also engage with young people through creative community initiatives that focus on education, empowerment, and harm prevention. Whether you're working one-on-one or in group settings, you’ll take a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally inclusive approach to make a real difference in people’s lives.
The details… - There is 1 vacancy being advertised
- Part Time, 3-year contract
- 28 hours per week (Mon – Thurs)
- SCHADS Award Level 4 (dependant on experience)
- Based in Richmond, however travel may be required for community-based and outreach work

What you’ll need to succeed… This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and can juggle logistics with care and compassion.
Selection Criteria… - Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Services, or a related field
- Experience in casework, group facilitation, or community development
- Experience working with families and/or young people using a trauma-informed, child-centred, and strengths-based approach
- Understanding of child protection and the NSW Child Safe Standards
- Excellent communication, engagement and collaboration skills
- Knowledge (or willingness to develop) around gambling harm minimisation
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Comfortable with admin, data collection and reporting requirements
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle
- Experience in co-design or co-facilitation of programs with young people (desirable)
- Knowledge of the Hawkesbury community or regional settings (desirable)
