Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven retail professional with 3-4 years of deli management or supervisory experience in a well-organised, fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to drive sales, lead and motivate a team, oversee day-to-day deli department and take ownership of all aspects of daily store operations while maintaining high standards of customer service and store presentation.

The store is located only on a 20 mins drive from Portlaoise and 30 mins from both Tullamore and Edenderry. Candidates with their own transport are preferred due to the location.
 

 

• Support the Store Manager in the overall management and smooth day-to-day operation of a busy, professional, high-standard retail store.
• Monitor sales performance, analyse results, and implement strategies to achieve and exceed store targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Oversee stock management, including deliveries, replenishment, stocktakes, inventory accuracy, and loss prevention.
• Support the implementation of promotional campaigns, product launches, and commercial initiatives to maximise sales opportunities.
• Manage cash handling, till operations, banking procedures, and end-of-day reconciliations in line with company policies.
• Ensure full compliance with company procedures, health and safety regulations, security standards, and operational guidelines.
• Assist with staff scheduling, shift planning, and the effective allocation of resources to maintain smooth operations during busy trading periods.
• Lead by example, fostering a positive, professional, and customer-focused team culture while maintaining consistently high retail standards.

• 3-4 years of management experience within a professional, fast-paced retail environment, ideally in a premium or high-standard store.
• Strong commercial awareness, with experience monitoring sales, achieving targets, and improving key performance indicators.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a demanding retail environment.
• Experience in stock control, inventory management, cash handling, loss prevention, and daily store operations.
• The ability to work independently, take initiative, and support the Store Manager in making effective day-to-day decisions.
• A flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
