We are seeking an experienced retail supervisor or shop duty manager who has a particular understanding of shop floor operations, running stock, maintaining standards, ideally training new staff members on procedures and best practice, some supervisory duties like ordering, key holding, or shop minding would be ideal. This is not an entry level job and does require a steady track record in retail with 2 years + ideally in a more senior shop assistant or supervisor role.

Average Store Managers can earn up to €45,000 -50,000 per year in small stores and up to €80,000 in big store settings.
Starting salaries for the Trainee Manager job, DOE, €35,000 a year salary. 42 hour contract, with room to grow your salary.
 
The requirements for this Grocery Senior Trainee Manager Job:

• An ambitious Supervisor or Duty Manager who has worked in retail, like Grocery super-markets or convenience stores, has knowledge of HACCP customer service and wants to enhance their retail experience in a bigger store, other retail environments will be considered.
• Passion for grocery retail and working with the general public.
• Good organizational skills,
• Be able to work within a team and on your own initiative
• Whilst our client offers a flexible and fair rota for all managers, they do require flexibility to work mornings and evenings, weekends - Must be available to open usually 6 or 7am and close late in the evening.

Responsibilities for this Grocery Senior Trainee Manager Job:

• Shop minding, ensuring the store runs smoothly, and maintaining the standards whilst managing the store on your own in the morning or closing shifts
• Driving sales, controlling the stock level, managing promotional change over, and ensuring the profit margins are at the agreed target
• People management, developing and coaching teams, learning more about performance management, like conflict resolution and motivating colleagues, rota planning , etc.
• KPI and target management, you will enhance your commercial acumen of how the shop makes money, controls costs effectively, and drives productivity
• Customer service, enhancing customer experience through your training, resolving complaints, and training teams under you to obtain further knowledge in the industry
