Our client is looking for candidate with strong background in supervising a busy retail, supermarket or convenience store by working alongside the senior management team. This store is situated in the heart of Waterford city and easily accessible for public transport users and approximately a 20 mins drive from Tramore and a 25 minutes' drive from Portlaw and Dunmore. An ideal candidate will play a key role in stock and inventory management, waste reduction, supplier communication, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. This job also requires supporting the team in delivering consistently high standards of customer service and store presentation. Key Responsibilities of Assistant Store Manager Job Co. Waterford

Assist the Store Manager with the overall management and daily running of the store.
Lead, motivate, and support the store team to achieve sales and customer service targets.
Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer queries or complaints professionally.
Support staff training, onboarding, coaching, and performance development.
Monitor sales performance and work with the team to achieve and exceed targets.
Manage stock deliveries, replenishment, stock checks, and inventory control.
Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety and security requirements.
Assist with cash handling, till operations, banking, and end-of-day procedures.
Support promotional activities, merchandising, and product displays.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in retail management, hospitality, or a customer-focused environment.

Previous supervisory or team-leadership experience is necessary.
