Our client is looking for a scratch baker to join the team in their busy bakery department, ideally someone from retail bakery, scratch baking or bakery production background. The store is located on a great commuter belt and just a 20 minutes' drive from Cork City and a 20 mins drive from Fermoy. This job also requires leadership mindset, previous knowledge of HACCP and inventory control and achieving sales targets. If you are looking to progress down the path of managing a bakery than this is the right fit for you.
Standard shifts normally run from 6:30am to 3:00pm. However, due to the temporary revamp of the Bakery Department, the shift pattern has been changed to 1:00am to 10:00am.

Key Responsibilities of Scratch Baker Job Co. Cork
- Produce high-quality breads and bakery products while maintaining consistency across all items.
- Plan, organise, and manage bakery production to meet customer demand.
- Ensure products are baked fresh and presented to the highest standards.
- Maintain attractive, fully stocked bakery displays to maximise sales.
- Monitor stock levels and minimise waste through effective production planning.
- Deliver excellent customer service and professionally handle customer queries or special requests.
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety regulations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the bakery.
Requirements for Scratch Baker Job Co. Cork
- At least 1-2 years' experience working in a busy bakery environment.
- Experience in baking production preferably bread and food preparation.
- Ability to make baked goods from scratch or work with par-baked products.
- A bakery qualification is an advantage.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Creative approach with good eye for presentation and merchandising.
- Well organised with strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of customer needs and priorities.
