Our client is hiring a confident and skilled Retail Head Butcher to manage their fast paced Butcher Department. The store is located on a 20 mins drive from Fermoy and 35 mins drive from Mallow. Candidates with cars are preferred due to the early morning shifts. This job requires a background managing a Butcher Shop or a retail Butcher Department for minimum 2-3 years, being excellent in customer service and ability to stand for long hours. An ideal candidate will be an excellent Team Leader and have knowledge of HACCP standards, deboning, carcass cleaning and preparing all kinds of meat. If you are someone who is passionate about running a Butcher department than this job is the right fit for you.

Key Responsibilities of Retail Butcher Manager Job Co. Cork

Oversee the daily running of the butcher department.
Prepare, cut, and present a wide range of fresh meat products to a high standard.
Lead, support, and motivate the butcher team to deliver excellent performance.
Train and develop junior staff to improve skills and efficiency.
Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer queries professionally.
Manage stock levels, place orders, and reduce waste and shrinkage.

Requirements for Retail Butcher Manager Job Co. Cork

Minimum 2+ years' experience as a butcher, ideally in a retail or supermarket environment.
Ability to delegate tasks clearly and keep the team organised during busy periods.
Strong communication skills to guide, train, and support team members.
Ability to motivate staff and maintain a positive working environment.
Experience ensuring consistent product quality and service standards across the team.
