Our client is seeking a motivated Deli Supervisor to act as second-in-command in a busy, modern deli department within a high-traffic retail convenience store. The store offers a range of services including a forecourt, off-licence, and convenience retail, but is best known for its outstanding deli and fresh food offering. Located just 30 minutes east of Galway City and 30 minutes from Portumna, this is a great opportunity for someone with experience in catering, deli, or fresh food operations at Supervisor or senior staff level. Our client offers a competitive salary depending on size of stores and roles.
 
Package and Benefits
Salary: €30,000 -34,000 DOE
40-hour full time contract

Requirements for Deli Supervisor Position

• Experience working in a busy deli, catering, or food environment.
• Experience with stock control and ordering food products.
• Good customer service and attention to cleanliness and food presentation.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.
• Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities for Deli Supervisor Position

• Support the Deli Manager with the daily running of the deli.
• Supervise and support a team of 3-5 staff.
• Manage stock levels and place orders when needed.
• Help reduce waste and keep the department well stocked.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards are followed.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and customer service.
• Train and support staff to help them perform their roles effectively.
