We are delighted to support one of Irelands most successful supermarket groups in their search for an experienced Head Butcher to lead a modern, well-equipped butcher counter in one of their flagship stores.
Located just off the M7 in West Dublin, this new-generation supermarket offers an ideal opportunity for a skilled butcher based in Dublin or Kildare who is seeking a fresh challenge in a dynamic retail environment.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the department, from maintaining exceptional hygiene standards to driving sales and increasing customer footfall. This is your chance to make your mark by shaping and growing your own department within a busy, high-profile store.
Our client is offering a salary upwards of €43,000 and other perks.
 
Key Responsibilities for this Butcher Job:

• Prepare and cut various types of meat products, including beef, pork, poultry, and seafood, according to customer preferences and specifications.
• Ensure all meat products are of high quality, properly trimmed, and free from defects.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist customers with their meat selections and provide recommendations on cooking methods and recipes.
• Package and label meat products for display and sale
• Maintain knowledge of current market trends and adjust product offerings accordingly.

Requirements for this Butcher Job:

• Ideally a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Butcher in a retail or supermarket setting
• Good knowledge of different cuts of meat and their preparation methods, controlling yield and waste
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift heavy objects
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays but fair rotation of roster is in place
