Job Title: Senior Recruitment Consultant
Location: Sydney

Position Overview
TalentD Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join the team in Sydney. The position is a specialist digital recruitment role focused on sourcing, assessing and placing high-calibre talent across digital marketing, eCommerce, and performance marketing disciplines for leading Australian and international brands.
The successful candidate will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from receiving and recording job vacancy information from employers through to candidate sourcing, interviewing, assessment, and placement. The role requires deep knowledge of the digital marketing and eCommerce sectors, strong relationship management capabilities, and the ability to advise both clients and candidates on market conditions, salary benchmarking, and talent availability.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The duties of this position are consistent with those described in ANZSCO 223112 – Recruitment Consultant and include:

1. Receive and record job vacancy information from employers, including details about job descriptions, required skills and qualifications, wages and conditions of employment across digital marketing, eCommerce, and performance marketing roles.
2. Interview applicants to determine their job requirements, career objectives, and suitability for particular positions. Assess candidates’ technical competencies in areas such as paid media, SEO, email marketing, eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Magento), marketing automation tools (Klaviyo, HubSpot), and analytics.
3. Search for and identify suitable candidates through professional networks, LinkedIn sourcing, job board advertising, database mining, headhunting, and referral networks to build and maintain a pipeline of qualified digital marketing and eCommerce professionals.
4. Arrange for advertising of job vacancies through appropriate channels including specialist job boards, social media platforms, and professional networks to attract qualified applicants.
5. Provide advice and information to both clients and candidates on current market conditions, salary benchmarking, talent availability, and industry trends within the digital marketing and eCommerce sectors.
6. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process including shortlisting, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, negotiating offers, and facilitating the placement of candidates into client organisations.
7. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, business development activities, and providing market intelligence and recruitment advice to employers.
8. Maintain accurate personnel records and associated recruitment information systems, including candidate databases, client CRM records, and placement tracking systems.
9. Prepare recruitment proposals, position briefs, candidate summaries, and market reports for clients to support the recruitment and selection process.
10. Build and manage a specialist network of contacts within the digital marketing, eCommerce, and performance marketing sectors across Australia and internationally.
11. Contribute to business development efforts including identifying new client opportunities, preparing pitch materials, and attending industry events and networking functions.
12. Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian workplace legislation, Fair Work requirements, and industry standards in all recruitment activities.

Key Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrated experience in recruitment consulting, with a strong track record of successful placements in digital marketing, eCommerce, and/or performance marketing roles.
• Deep understanding of the digital marketing and eCommerce landscape, including knowledge of platforms such as Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and marketing analytics tools.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and candidates at all levels, from coordinator through to executive level.
• Strong business development and client management capabilities, including the ability to identify opportunities and grow client accounts.
• Proficiency in recruitment technologies including applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and job board management tools.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent recruitment assignments and prioritise competing demands.
• Strong negotiation skills for managing offer processes and commercial agreements.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to the broader team objectives and company growth strategy.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five years’ experience working as a recruitment consultant within an agency environment, with a demonstrable focus on digital marketing and/or eCommerce roles.
• Proven track record of successful placements across a range of seniority levels within the digital marketing and eCommerce sectors.
• Experience working with international clients and candidates is highly desirable.
• No specific licensing or registration is required for this occupation.
