Project Engineer - Civil & Rail (Bridges)

Location: Wagga Wagga (project-based)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our clients delivery team working across major civil and rail infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on bridge and structures works.
You will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of complex works, supporting Project Managers to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Support delivery of bridge, structures, and civil works across rail and transport projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
• Develop and manage construction programs, methodologies, and work packs
• Review design documentation, manage RFIs, and support design coordination
• Monitor progress, cost, quality, and risk
• Prepare progress reports, forecasts, and variations
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality systems
• Interface with clients, consultants, and rail authorities

 
About You

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years' experience in civil infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated experience delivering bridge or structures works
• Experience working on rail projects highly regarded
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and staging
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, live rail environment
