Our State Government client is seeking a highly motivated Investigator to join a government regulatory team responsible for overseeing education and care services. This role will play an important part in assessing complaints, conducting investigations, and supporting regulatory compliance within the education sector.

Role Details: 
Work Arrangement: 3 days onsite / 2 days WFH
Rate: $64.94 per hour + super (PAYG) or $72.73 per hour (ABN)
Start Date: ASAP (pending police check)
Contract Duration: Until 24 December 2026

Working within a collaborative team environment, you will investigate complaints and concerns, analyse evidence, and prepare clear reports and recommendations to support compliance and regulatory outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, assess and investigate notifications, complaints and concerns under relevant legislation
• Conduct investigations including interviews, evidence gathering and case analysis
• Draft witness statements, investigation reports and regulatory correspondence
• Maintain accurate documentation and evidence in line with record management requirements
• Provide clear recommendations and reports for case management and compliance actions
• Engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Support the development and review of policies and procedures

Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrated experience conducting investigations in a regulatory or compliance environment
• Ability to analyse complex information and provide clear written reports and recommendations
• Strong understanding of legislation, regulatory frameworks or compliance processes
• Experience managing multiple cases and prioritising work effectively
• Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Strong computer literacy and ability to quickly learn new systems

Desirable Qualifications:

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Investigations or similar qualification
• Previous experience working in government, regulatory, compliance or investigation roles

Mandatory Requirements:

• Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration (required prior to commencement)
• Current driver’s licence
• Police check clearance

Work Environment This position operates in a hybrid work model, with a combination of office-based work and remote work available. The role involves working collaboratively within a regulatory team and may include exposure to sensitive case material.
